Alita 2: Fallen Angel (2026) continues the story of Alita after the events of Alita: Battle Angel, expanding the cyberpunk world of Iron City and the mysterious floating city of Zalem. The sequel deepens Alita’s journey as she begins to uncover more secrets about her forgotten past and the true purpose of the powerful technology inside her.

After proving herself in the dangerous Motorball arena and discovering fragments of her identity as an ancient warrior, Alita becomes more determined to reach Zalem—the unreachable sky city that controls the fate of the world below. As she grows stronger and more confident, she realizes that the system ruling the cities is built on manipulation and hidden truths.

While searching for answers, Alita encounters powerful new enemies connected to the secret history of the lost Martian war. These enemies possess advanced cybernetic abilities that rival her own, forcing Alita into intense battles that push her skills and emotions to the limit. At the same time, she struggles with the fear that the warrior she once was may have been far more ruthless than the person she wants to become.

The film would likely expand the visual scale of the universe, showing more of Zalem’s advanced technology, underground resistance groups, and the massive class divide between the floating city and the harsh reality of Iron City below.
