The legend of Tarzan has been told many times, but never quite like this. Tarzan 2026 reimagines the classic story with a darker, more mythological tone, and with Chris Hemsworth in the lead role, it’s a match made in the jungle.
The film opens not with Tarzan as a child, but as a man. Years after leaving the jungle, John Clayton (Hemsworth) is living in London as Lord Greystoke, married to the lovely Jane (Charlize Theron). But when a mysterious threat emerges from the Congo—a shadowy corporation exploiting the land and its people—Tarzan must return to the jungle he once called home.
Hemsworth brings both physicality and depth to the role. He’s believable as a man caught between two worlds, struggling with his identity. Theron is fierce as Jane, no damsel in distress but a partner in adventure. The film explores themes of colonialism, identity, and the relationship between man and nature. The action is thrilling, with Tarzan swinging through the jungle in sequences that rival the best of The Legend of Tarzan.
The Verdict: A stunning, emotional reimagining of a classic story. Hemsworth is born for this role, and Theron matches him every step of the way.
