CRIMINAL MINDS — SEASON 19 (2026)

The traditional psychological profile is no longer sufficient to stop the monsters hiding in the dark. Criminal Minds The Darkest Pattern marks the explosive and highly anticipated reunion of the Behavioral Analysis Units finest agents bringing the brilliant Dr Spencer Reid back into the fold after a mysterious and unexplained three year sabbatical that has left everyone questioning his stability.

Chaos erupts when a series of gruesome ritualistic murders across Washington DC begins to mimic the exact cooling off patterns and signatures of the BAUs most notorious uncaptured unsubs from the past decade. Section Chief Emily Prentiss comes to the chilling realization that this is not merely the work of a copycat looking for fame but rather a compilation of pure evil. The team discovers they are being hunted by a so called Apex Predator a killer who has spent years meticulously analyzing their team dynamic and psychology effectively turning their own profiling methods against them in a deadly game.

Matthew Gray Gubler delivers a truly haunting and transformative performance as a hardened and significantly more secretive version of Reid who holds the critical missing piece of the puzzle but is simultaneously battling his own deteriorating cognitive demons. AJ Cook shines brightly as JJ who has evolved into the teams fierce tactical leader constantly balancing the safety of her growing family with a demanding job that refuses to let her go. Meanwhile the colorful Penelope Garcia faces her greatest digital adversary yet in the form of a sophisticated AI algorithm designed specifically by the killer to erase digital clues faster than she can uncover them.

Tense cerebral and emotionally devastating this new chapter forces the veteran team to confront their own limitations and answer one terrifying question that haunts their every move. How do you catch a brilliant killer who knows exactly what you are thinking before you even form the thought yourself essentially predicting the future of the investigation.
